How to Make Salt Dough Handprints

Activity: Create a keepsake handprint using homemade salt dough.

Materials:

• 1 cup of flour
  
• 1/2 cup of salt
  
• 1/4 cup of water
  
• Rolling pin
  
• Paint (optional)
  

Instructions:

1. Mix the flour, salt, and water to form dough.
   
2. Roll the dough out on a flat surface.
   
3. Press your child’s hand into the dough to make a handprint.
   
4. Cut around the handprint to make a shape.
   
5. Allow the handprint to dry, then paint or decorate.
